I have been repeating there's no better place to be quarantined than Aarhus.
Denmark, the welfare state, health system... It's a quiet town, with fresh air, permission and space to go around safely. The sea is just around the corner, and even the sun is back after the winter. But there's still no good place during a pandemic. The time you save not having to go to classes is often useless. At least in my case, it has been hard to enjoy. The mind is always busy with one of the latest news. It is a historical moment and a remarkable time for being a journalist. As an observer, a rich history is in front of us. But being a character of this story is much harder.
When the mind is not ready for 30 consecutive minutes of reading or even an entire episode of a series, the ukulele has been a good friend. The goal has been one new song every week. Or one more kilometer of running. Or a new book. Step by step.
It is tough for everybody, much tougher for many. Let's try to use this time to improve somehow.
